Battle of the Broken Giants (ZOMG DEVA ARC)

(ooc:This is for YGP ^_^ sorry for the wait I got caught up in names again lol)

A portal opens and a man steps out into the countryside. Appearence aside the man looked normal, he was tall but not too tall, his ruby red hair hung at his shoulders which complimented his emerald green eyes. His dress too wasn't unusal he wore a black leather jacket, and pants with combat boots. The only thing that set off his appearence was the sword which hung at his side.

Scooping the area, the man let's out a laugh as he feels a rather powerful spirit body."Looks like my target is near."He says in cold, yet very confident voice as he grips the sword at his side, and with amazing speed vanishes."Things should be getting fun soon."

[Yuh]

Yuh was fast approaching the area where  sudden burst of spiritual pressure has appeared. Who could possibly be this strong..? He thought to himself as he continued to flash-step to where the enemy was. Then he realized that the spiritual pressure began to move. "He's.. moving." His eyes widened when he realized where the person was heading.

"No. Seireitei!" He said and began to flash step in the other direction, towards Seireitei. "I can't let this evil cause ruin and destruction upon Seireitei." As he neared his destination, the spiritual pressure became more overwhelming. I just hope I make it in time before anything bad happens..

[Michru]

The man stops dead in his tracks as he feels his target's spirit signature move towards him."Maybe waiting for him will be a good idea."He says to himself(XD I think a Kenshin-esque voices suits him)as he drops to the ground, and begins to wait patiently for his opponent.

As he waited the man held out his katana and looked over the blade his eyes deep in thought.'I was ordered with the task to lead the Devas here and attack Sereitai....I failed though, and now in order to get my honor back I must kill the Head Captain. Doing so will throw Sereitai into chaos.'He thinks to himself as he lets out a lazy yawn. The moment he felt Yuh's spirit pressure though, a smile appears on his face, and he stands up to face his opponent.

[Yuh]

Yuh's sights of Seireitei neared and neared until he finally reached it. He flash-stepped past the guard and made his way to the center of the city. The spiritual pressure was immensely powerful here and he looked around for the person who was the cause of this. He finally saw him, standing there with a huge, cocky smile on his face. This must be the one who decided to infiltrate Seireitei. He thought to himself, keeping his composure in the face of an enemy stronger than any he has ever faced.

Yuh took a step and started walking slowly towards the man. He held his sword tightly in his hand as he came closer and closer. "Who are you?" He asked the man, "Why are you here? What do you want?" He continued as he came closer still.

[Starks]

Admin ruling: There must be collateral damage to the Seireitei during this battle. Be sure to destroy and blow shit up.

Yuh's sights of Seireitei neared and neared until he finally reached it. He flash-stepped past the guard and made his way to the center of the city. The spiritual pressure was immensely powerful here and he looked around for the person who was the cause of this. He finally saw him, standing there with a huge, cocky smile on his face. This must be the one who decided to infiltrate Seireitei. He thought to himself, keeping his composure in the face of an enemy stronger than any he has ever faced.

Yuh took a step and started walking slowly towards the man. He held his sword tightly in his hand as he came closer and closer. "Who are you?" He asked the man, "Why are you here? What do you want?" He continued as he came closer still.

The man let's out a laugh as he see's Yuh.'He doesn't look like anything special, but still the fact that he's the Head Captain shouldn't be taken lightly.'He thought as he reached for the katana at his side and drew it."I've been waiting for you for a while now."The man says as he vanishes and appears at Yuh's side.

"There is very little you need to know about me other than this. My name is Gemnis, I am a Deva, and,"He vanished again appearing several yards in front of Yuh."I was charged with the task of seeing through with your death!"Gemnis shouts as a smile appears on his face, and his green eyes lock with Yuh's.

[Yuh]

Yuh stared at the man who he now knew as Gemnis. "Gemnis.. I see. You were charged with seeing through to my death? Judging by your spiritual pressure, you must be the leader of the Devas, but not the one giving out the orders, huh?" He asked as he gripped his sword tight in his hand after seeing Gemnis draw his.

"Whatever the story may be.. you realize that you will not kill me, yes? I am the Head Captain of the 13 Shinigami Squads and I will do all that I must to protect Seireitei and the Soul Society." Yuh said. "I will not die by the hands of an arrogant bastard such as you." He continued, disappearing from Gemnis' eyes and appearing behind him. Yuh swung at his back.

[Michru]

Yuh stared at the man who he now knew as Gemnis. "Gemnis.. I see. You were charged with seeing through to my death? Judging by your spiritual pressure, you must be the leader of the Devas, but not the one giving out the orders, huh?" He asked as he gripped his sword tight in his hand after seeing Gemnis draw his.

"Whatever the story may be.. you realize that you will not kill me, yes? I am the Head Captain of the 13 Shinigami Squads and I will do all that I must to protect Seireitei and the Soul Society." Gemnis waltzed to the ground intercepting Yuh's sword with his. "Leader, no I don't have that honor. Sadly there are many Devas much stronger than me. However.."Gemnis kicks Yuh in the stomach, and Waltzes a meter backwards."I am still the Commander of the Devas, and I have more than enough strength to end your life."He says coldly as he raises his left hand, and fires a beam of energy at Yuh.

[Yuh]

Yuh was surprised by the kick as it was much stronger than he anticipated, yet Gemnis didn't appear to exert that much force behind it. It was if Gemnis was just toying around. Yuh flash-stepped and avoided the beam, though just barely as it nicked his shoulder. He landed on the ground about 25 yards from Gemnis. "So you're the Commander. I see now." He said as he looked at his shoulder. "Hmm, it seems you've drawn first blood.." He said. "Very well then.. this fight doesn't seem like something to be taken lightly." Yuh held his hand up at Gemnis. "Prepare yourself, Gemnis. Or else you'll die."

OOC: Time to head off. <_< My parents are bitching. Asian parents FTL... This is why I need a laptop in my own room. -_-

[Michru]

Gemnis lets out a laugh at Yuh's words."You kill me? Might I tell you that I am not even using a fraction of my power yet!"The deva shouts as he runs at Yuh only to waltz before he enters Yuh's striking distance. "I may not be as powerful as the Queen, nor Mikimori, or even that little bitch of a traitor Michru for that matter, but I am still strong enough to end your life."He shouts as he appears crouched on the ground behind Yuh, his katana aimed at digging into opponent's lower back.

[Yuh]

Yuh was not fooled by Gemnis' moves as he turned around and blocked his attack from behind. Noticing that his grip and command of his katana was rather sketchy, Yuh took the opportunity to shatter Gemnis' blade with one powerful swing of his sword. He then flash-stepped a few yards away from him, but noticed that his facial expression did not change even after losing his katana. He saw that Gemnis stood up straight after having his sword destroyed but still did not move. If he's not going to do anything, I suppose I will. Yuh thought to himself and then charged at the Deva, his hand gripping his sword tightly as he prepared to swing at his enemy.

(ooc:Sorry about the wait everyone. I had to get a term paper done before a posted, and then when I was writing the post I got a phone call....and so I had to listen to a friend rant. ^_^)

As his sword shattered, Gemnis let out a soft chuckle, however his face returned to a stoic expression.'Heh, this is starting to become fun.'The Deva Commander thought to himself as he stared at Yuh with a expressionless face.  The head captain then flash stepped away from Gemnis, and then paused for a moment as if taking time to study him.'If he charges me then I play around with him. If he uses Shunpo and tries to sneak attack me, then I waltz, and end his life with a spirit bullet.'Gemnis planned as he watched Yuh run at him.

"So you think that I primarily used my Katana? My you are mistaken. In fact I find swordplay rather boring and pointless."The deva yawned as he pointed his left hand at the Captain."Charging me was a mistake!"He shouted as three red beams of energy erupted from his fingers and flew at the Captain. Gemnis then Waltzed a meter to Yuh's left, and raised his finger again.

[Yuh]

"What?" Yuh asked in surprise after hearing from Gemnis that he found swordplay to be boring. Just then, he saw three red beams approaching him at a rapid pace. Acting quickly, he brought his sword up in an attempt to block the beams but only managed to block one which directed towards the ground where it created an explosion of bright pink smoke. The other two beams skidded off of his sword and both went in different directions. Yuh had no time to avert the beams as they were moving at such high speeds. One beam hit the Repentance Tower; the other one hit the barracks of Squad 12. Yuh's eyes widened as he turned and saw the tower, now falling down and crushing some buildings surrounding it, while the Squad 12 barracks was lit in a blaze of fire.

He turned his head and saw Gemnis standing a few meters to his left with his finger pointed again, poised to fire off another beam. He would not let it happen however, as he flash-stepped to Gemnis, grabbing his finger with his hand. "You.. your beams have caused damage to Seireitei." He said distastefully before suddenly tossing Gemnis down to the ground. He jumped into the air and came down at the Deva now on the ground. "You will not come out of this fight alive." Yuh said as he flew down at Gemnis, his sword aimed at the Deva's chest.

[Michru]

Gemnis' face twisted into one of complete ecstasy as he watched his spirit bullets crash into the structures."You are a fool. If only you would of taken the bullets, you could of avoided damaging Seireitai. Heh some Captain you are!" The deva taunted as he began to build up reiatsu around his finger. His attack failed to i though as the Captain dissappeared with a startling speed, appearing in front of Gemnis, and forcefully throwing him to the ground.

As the Deva hit the ground he let out a annoyed grunt his face beginning to show anger, his body beginning to brim  with reiatsu, however before he could speak Yuh jumped into the air his sword aimed at the Deva's chest hoping for a kill. 'I have to!'Gemnis thought to himself as his reiatsu pulsed from his body. The clash of metal clanging against rocks was then heard as Yuh's sword was intercepted by a earthen spire.

"How do you like it?"Gemnis asks as he jumps to his feet."That there is my special ability, I can control the minerals in the ground with my reiatsu."The Deva said letting out a laugh."What you're looking at though is only the bare basics of my powers! You should be afraid!"He smirked as he waltzed too Yuh's left firing a barrage of spirit bullets before vanishing.

[Yuh]

Yuh came crashing down on Gemnis, but his attack was blocked by some sort of shield which turned out to be a mineral shield. He heard the Deva laughing and explaining that the shield was created as a result of his special ability. He can control the minerals with his reiatsu? However, Yuh didn't have much time to think as Gemnis disappeared from his sights and reappeared at his left, firing some more of his spirit bullets. He managed to successfully block the this time, twirling his sword to collect the spirit bullets and then directing them down to the ground. The impact between the land and the bullets caused some explosions, though nothing too extreme.

Yuh could see that Gemnis had reappeared just several yards in front of him. He could sense that his enemy was somewhat frustrated, but still kept an overall calm and arrogant demeanor; as if he had something up his sleeve. "So you can control the minerals with your reiatsu? Interesting.." Yuh said out loud, although trying to keep it mainly to himself. Without warning, Yuh flash-stepped towards Gemnis again and swung his sword once more; it left a trail of reiatsu behind it as it swung through the air. This should surprise him. He thought to himself, confident that the attack would catch Gemnis off-guard.
