Life after Death (Physical and Actual Age: 4)
Daigo died at the young age of 4 from malaria so he doesn't remember anything from his life except his name. He had stayed in the human world untill his spirit chain erroded and he became a hollow. Unbeknownest to the boy, he spent the next 50 years, roaming the globe, feasting on the souls of all that he could find before being slain in a intense battle with a shinigami who used a kido spell to finish the job. Due to being a innocent soul before death, he was purified and sent to the Soul Society.
Life in Rukon District (Physical Age: 4 Actual Age: 54)
Once there, he was taken in by a small family of three (Mother and two daughters) and given the name Daigo. In the 33 years that he spent with this family, he was raised and taught english, while showing an deep interest in gaining knowledge. He also had a growing interest in fighting. Proving his worth was his goal. Fighting the bullies and other residents of the district. He even managed to pull of a kido spell in one of his fights just from remembering the movements and incantation that the shinigami used to kill him. He believes that the spell came to him in a dream, but it really was a repressed memory from his life as a hollow. Through sheer chance, a passing shinigami noticed him and had him enrolled into the Shinigami Academy.
The Shinigami Academy (Physical age: 13 Actual Age: 87)
Because of his poor upbrining, Daigo was considered as an outcast his first two years. This caused him to become closed off to his peers. He decided that if they wouldn't befriend him, he would at least make them respect him. He did whatever he could to show up the "rich little snobs" (what he called them) so that they would realize that one's upbringing didn't determine one's worth. He excelled in the basics of all the skills but showed the greatest potential in kido. He would using mid level spells with no effort by the time he left the academy. His third and fourth year took an unexpected turn of events. He was doing his normal thing when a young man named Raito came up to him and asked for help in his training. Since this was the first time someone had reached out to him, he was hesitant, but he helped Raito out. They soon became good friends and began to hang out together while training. Raito, being one of great recognition amongst the class, in return helped to boost Daigo's popularity. He knew that what the others really wanted was only for him to help them improve on their skills, but he welcomed the company anyway. The tutoring sessions earned Daigo the nickname of "The Main Man" or "TMM" because if you needed help in any field of training, he was the guy to go to. Raito and Daigo both showed great promise in the kido field and were taken into Squad 9.
Life in Squad 9 (Physical Age: 14 Actual Age: 95 )
Daigo and Raito were taken in as the 9th and tenth seats of the Squad 9 as soon as the entered. They both were approached by the squad lieutenant at the time, Shun. He was a low level master of shunpo, sword fighting, hand-to-hand and kido combat. Seeing their talent, he took it upon himself to take the two in and train them as his apprentices. Daigo learned all he could in kido, shunpo and hand to hand, while Raito preferred swordsmanship, kido and shunpo. With the two training in their off time, they managed to move up the ranks in good time. Daigo made lieutenant and Raito made 3rd seat. Their teacher, Shun became captain shortly after the previous captain retired. The three were considered the best team in Seireitei.
The End of an Era, and the Beginning of the Something Worse (Physical Age: 18 Actual Age: 245)
After nearly 150 years, the trio’s long standing history of being one of the best groups in all the squads was brought to an abrupt halt by a horrible event. Upon hearing of hollow actions escalating in the human world, the trio was sent off to find out the cause of the escalation and put an end to it. After investigating the situation, the group was surrounded by a large army of rather strong hollows as well as a couple gillian and adjuchas class hollows. The three fought bravely, but they began to tire. In the midst of battle, Daigo and Captain Shun lost sight of Raito and feared the worst. With everything on the line, Daigo tried out the new spell. The flames were enough to eliminate most of the hollows, but its power was too unstable. Before the power could destroy Daigo, Shun intervened. Sacrificing his own life to save his pupil’s, Shun was turned to ash by the dragon’s black flames. Daigo was badly injured, but he lived thanks to the arrival of another shinigami that was visiting human world.
Waking up in the hospital a day later, the groggy captain awoke to a perfectly healthy Raito standing over him. Daigo was pleased to see Raito, but the same couldn’t not be said of Raito. Looking down on his blood brother, Raito ranted about what had happened and how he wished Daigo had died as well. Raito then explained how he had been the cause of the hollow escalation with the use of a **** taken from a quincy he had killed. The plan was for the arrancar and hollows to surround and kill the both of them, leaving Raito to take charge of Squad 9 as its new captain. But he didn’t expect Daigo to pull out such a strong spell, or for Shun to sacrifice himself to save Daigo. Raito was poised to suffocate the weakened lieutenant, but Raito was stopped by Captain ******, who had overheard the entire thing. Raito barely managed to escape Seireitei with his life. Weeks after the event, a fully healed Daigo was offered the position of Squad 9 Captain, but refused. Instead he put in for his request to be honorably discharged and began his hunt for his former friend. Though his own spell may have been what killed his mentor, his once best friend orchestrated the chain of events that led up to his demise. And he would hunt him for all his life if need be.
Life After the Gotei 13 (Physical Age: 19 Actual Age: 248)
With the thought of revenge spurring him every step of the way, Daigo began to track Raito high and low. Every time he got to a new area, he could sense Raito was not far off. But whenever he got closer the object of his revenge eluded him. This game of cat and mouse lasted for 5 years. Finally, the former lieutenant ran into Raito in a wooded area of the 24th District of Rukon. The battle that ensued was a fierce one that was mirrored by the raging storm and the jet black night sky. Raito eventually got the upper hand and stood over Daigo once more, ready to end his life. But Daigo countered and stabbed Raito in the chest. Slumping over, Raito’s body fell into the muddy waters. Feeling some sense of vindication, Daigo began to trek through the woods only to fall unconscious just after one mile.
The Start of A New Life(Will write this up later this month.)
Returning to Where It All Began (physical age: 24 Actual Age: 450)
Daigo came back some 200 years later and took the recently vacated position of Squad 9 captain. He has been captain ever since.
Kido: Is a kido master and has mastered all known combat kido spells and techniques, including Flash Cry, but doesn’t know past the first 20 chiyudou spells.
Special abilities (if any): Is a methodical fighter who uses strategy over fighting purely on instinct. Daigo has become a master of hand-to-hand combat and is capable of completely suppressing his reiatsu to the point that the most shinigami would be unable to sense it without some unnatural sensing ability.
